Saint Blaise Sticks (February 3rd)

As mentioned elsewhere, Saint Blaise sticks (pan bendito) were traditionally distributed on the Feast of St. Blaise (February 3) and kept in the home as a ready malady for a sore throat. These blessed breads were especially popular in the Latin countries and central Europe.
